Nancy Richardson uses highly advanced printing technology in her studio to generate large-scale photographs that are extremely detailed and precise, with rich and complex colors. Selecting the most sophisticated equipment to produce her oversized format prints, the scale and hyperclarity of Richardson’s floral compositions give the flowers a three-dimensional, textural, and almost sculptural appearance that belies their delicate associations. Bringing the subtle nuances of each petal to the foreground, Richardson’s artwork enriches one’s perspective of commonly found botanical arrangements challenging our accepted notions of beauty.

The artist has exhibited at the Parrish Art Museum (Water Mill, NY), Charles Cowles Gallery (NY), Voltz Clarke Gallery (NY), Federal Courthouse Brooklyn, and Manhattan House. She attended Stanford University and the San Francisco Art Institute.
